First Watch: Stuff You Should Know

A proposed law would establish a moratorium on the death penalty and create a task force to review and report on death penalty reforms. ​The bill would halt executions and create a five-member task force to report on the implementation of recommendations from the 2017 Oklahoma Death Penalty Review Commission, with an initial report due by November 30, 2026, and annual updates until the task force terminates.
