We take a look at the Solo app and the business management features they offer for gig workers. Solo has mileage, expense, and income tracking, as well as tax forecast features.
Solo is offering a $10 bonus if you download the app and link your existing driver account(s) (must have completed at least one job already) if you sign up using my referral link: https://entrecourier.com/solo-yt-overview. Offer may change, more details at the end of this description.

Solo may be best known for its Smart Schedule and Pay Guarantee features. It’s only available in some markets, though the list of markets is growing. Unfortunately, it’s not available yet in my market.
Here’s my take in a nutshell: Solo may be the best of all the tracking apps at automatically tracking income, because of how they link to your driver account. The hourly earnings overview is a nice touch. Expense and mileage tracking need a lot of work. For me, mileage tracking has failed to work several times. The pay guarantee feature is intriguing, I hope they come to Denver soon so I can get a better look. You can read my review of the income, expense, mileage and tax features at https://entrecourier.com/delivery/delivery-strategies/delivery-tools/solo-app-review-mileage-tracking/
Solo currently works with:
Doordash
Uber Eats
Instacart
Uber
Lyft
Grubhub
Shipt
Amazon Flex
The Solo pay guarantee will present drivers with a list of time slots for each gig company, with a guaranteed hourly pay rate. Drivers can claim schedules and if they earn less than the guarantee, Solo makes up the difference. Drivers must accept the majority of requests and stay logged into the chosen platform to receive the guarantee. Solo started in Seattle and has been expanding rapidly, lately adding several cities per month. As of the date of this video, available cities are:

Solo offers a 14 day free trial of any of the packages. As of the posting of this video, they’re offering a $10 bonus to drivers who download the app and link their driver account(s). Connected accounts must have a minimum of one previous job, be using the latest version of the app, and have a connected payout method (Venmo or Paypal). That payout method will be how they give you your bonus, and also how they pay for guaranteed pay if you are using the feature in an active city. The bonus is only available for US-based gig workers, amounts are subject to change.
